The Federal Communications Commission has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the indecency case over Janet Jackson’s breast-baring performance at the 2004 Super Bowl.
The FCC this week appealed a ruling saying that court was wrong to throw out the case and a $550,000 fine against CBS in July.
Seriously…this happened almost five years ago and the courts had thrown out the case.
Let it go.

Phillip Sherman of Arkansas learned a tough lesson after he left his phone behind at a McDonald’s restaurant and the photos ended up online. Now he and his wife are suing the McDonald’s Corp.
The suit was filed Friday and seeks a jury trial and $3 million in damages for suffering, embarrassment and the cost of having to move to a new home.
The suit says that Phillip Sherman left the phone at the Fayetteville store in July and that employees promised to secure it until he returned.
Now that’s food for thought.
Too much Pain

T-Pain’s new album Thr33 Ringz landed at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200, with over 167,700 copies sold in its first week.
The project was the top hip-hop and R&B release this week and the auto tune king spoke about his hit-making ability.
“I got the most number 1’s,” Pain said. “I’m not just saying that. It’s really on the charts. I got 11 numbers [in one year.] In the history of time, The Beatles got 13. So if I woulda’ got two more in that year I would beat The Beatles. That’s why I’m the ringleader.”
I guess that’s one way to look at it. Another way to look at is to ask yourself…how many of those “#1 songs” were collaborations with other artist…exactly!
We can only take so much of that auto-tune; it causes way too much pain.

Taco Bell seems extremely upset while describing its latest suit with 50 Cent, calling him out as “a self-described former drug dealer and hustler” and otherwise fake gangsta’.
Back in July 50 sued the fast food chain for $4 million for trademark infringement after the company wrote an open letter asking the star to find a little loose change and make his name 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent for one day in honor of Taco Bell’s value menu. In return, the chalupa slingers would send $10,000 to 50’s favorite charity.
Now Taco Bell is filing a federal lawsuit of their own, claiming 50 attempted to distorting the bona fide, good faith offer that Taco Bell made.
Can you say…wanksta?

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are well on their way to being divorced.
The singer and her filmmaker husband have hammered out their divorce settlement and will be granted a preliminary divorce on Friday .
I would bet anything that he gets at least $150 million. How much do you think he should get?

Brandy’s changed

Brandy gave a candid interview about her 2006 car accident to “Access Hollywood,” saying she still carries the emotional scars of the freeway collision that left another driver dead.
Brandy was behind the wheel of her Land Rover in Los Angeles when she crashed into another vehicle on a busy freeway, triggering a chain reaction that caused another driver to hit the central partition. The driver, Awatef Aboudihaj, died from her injuries.
Brandy is now facing a $50 million lawsuit for wrongful death by Aboudihaj’s family.
Wow…$50 million. I guess you can put a price tag on life.

Pacman play too much

Suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is done with the inpatient portion of his NFL-ordered alcohol treatment and has returned to Texas, where he hopes to soon rejoin the team.
Jones was suspended indefinitely last month for violating the league’s personal conduct policy during and altercation outside of a “party”.
I didn’t know they had rehab for strip-club junkies.

Roots of a miracle

The Roots are alive and well, after experiencing a near fatal tour bus crash while traveling throughout Paris, France on Wednesday.
Fortunately every member of the group is fine. One of the group’s members gave a detailed account of what went down, check it out.
“My first thought was not move a f*cking inch,” he continued. “I always had fear that we would fall off a cliff while in high mountain traveling like Denver or Switzerland. I couldn’t tell where gravity began and ended. I just wanted someone to calmly tell me the weight of my body was NOT going to push us down a mountainside. Then I wanted assurance that the bus was NOT going to explode.”
I’m glad their OK. Life is precious…play hard!
