Idris Elba…first black James Bond?
British actor IDRIS ELBA is calling on JAMES BOND bosses to make him the first black 007.
The star of The Wire and hit new movie Obsessed admits he’d jump at the chance to replace Daniel Craig as the legendary superspy, and he’s calling on film fans to pressure executives at studio Eon Productions to make Bond black.
Elba says, "I think if I was ever to do Bond, that would be phenomenal. I don’t think that role will ever come my way. If it did, it would be hats off to the producers. Maybe if my audience rallied for me, I’d get the role. That would be phenomenal!"
But Elba isn’t the only star campaigning to become the first black 007 - rap mogul-turned-actor Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs also has his sights on the role and has even fashioned new TV ads for his fragrance line to give Bond bosses a good isea of what he’d look like as the spy.

Hmmm…Something tells me that Idris just might be a better actor than Diddy.
