Lady Gaga breaks radio record
You know the song that gets on your nerves because the radio stations won’t stop playing it. Well…this is that song!
LADY GAGA has scored another U.S. pop chart record thanks to the radio success of her new hit BAD ROMANCE.
Networks monitored by Billboard Pop Songs countdown compilers at Nielsen played the track an average of 84 times last week (beg11Jan10), taking the tune past Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love and making it the most-played song in any seven-day period in the chart’s 17-year history.
In total, Bad Romance hit the airwaves 10,859 times – almost 200,000 more than Bleeding Love was played in May, 2008. As a result, Lady GaGa claims a third week atop America’s radio-play Pop Songs chart.
