Leona Lewis unauthorized biography to reveal bulimia and depression
International superstar’s image threatened by allegations.
Leona Lewis, known for her beautiful voice and innocent look, plans to detail her journey of success from being a Pizza Hut waitress to international superstar in an autobiography slated for release in late 2009.
But, a former high school friend has already signed a deal to deliver an unauthorized biography about the singer’s teenage years.
According to the publisher, the unauthorized biography will detail the singer’s early and late teen years where she apparently had “a serious eating disorder…and dealing with bulimia often caused her to be very depressed.”
Few Americans are aware of the soulful singer’s upbringing in London and the book is excepted to “shock many mislead fans”.
The book will include photos of the singer “a scraggily teen” and is expected to shed an unpleasant light on her teen years.
The publicist for Lewis dismissed the unauthorized biography as “a disgraceful ploy to make money be capitalizing on lies. Leona’s book is the real truth.”
When asked about the subject, Lewis dismissed the question and instead spoke only about her recent success, “The last two years have been an unbelievable experience for me and this will be the first time I get to tell my story.
Lewis’s book will hit shelves in October of 2009.
