Lil Kim is running from Uncle Sam
Rapper Lil’ Kim is working to pay off almost $1 million in back taxes.
The Lady Marmalade star, real name Kimberly Jones, owes thousands in unpaid taxes in three different states, racking up a total debt of $979,090.
Several reports acknowledge Lil Kim, who is currently starring in Dancing With The Stars, is on record as owing $12,599 to the state of New York, $4,089 in a tax lien to California and $916,982 in various liens to the state of New Jersey, all dated between 2004 and 2008.
So far Lil Kim has avoided tax evasion charges, but the IRS is apparently monitoring the rapper’s tax situation closely. Said a representative for the hip-hop star, “Kim is paying her tax debt while cooperating with the IRS, and will continue to do so.”
We hope Lil Kim gets her tax situation worked out real quick…we saw what happened to Wesley Snipes (facing 3yr in prison). Uncle Sam is gangsta’ when it comes to his money.
