Rihanna hits #1 again
In case you’ve been living under a rock, my home-girl Rihanna has been burning up the charts and the airways with her Rude Boy track.
For a second week at the top of the U.S. pop charts she beat out BEYONCE and LADY GAGA.

The homey Ritz at Slip-n-Slide Records emailed me today and wanted some feedback on this new record by Slip-n-Slide’s upcoming artist Swazy Baby. When I get asked for feedback…that’s exactly what I give for better or for worse.
The Good: The beat and the hook are high energy and give the song potential to be a radio/club hit and if it gets enough radio spins…we’ll all be singing this song and Swazy Baby might just have a Hit Record!
The Bad: The entire song is saturated with auto-tune and uses the overused themes of money, b*tches and swagger…it lacks originality as nothing about the song made Swazy Baby standout. I might rock to the single…but I have no interest in hearing an entire album from Swazy Baby.
Just might 2 1/2 cent…enjoy!
So I received an email today from Akon’s PR folks at www.susanblondinc.com asking me to update my story about Akon being banned from Sri Lanka after disrespecting the Buddha statue.
Basically the answer I received from Akon’s PR team was "Akon didn’t know until today that the Buddha Statue was in the video and the dancer didn’t exactly fondle the statue".
Fair enough, the video-girl didn’t "fondle" the statue as previously stated in the story. But she was half dressed and dancing next to a life size statue of Buddha. My question is…would Akon have allowed it to happed if the girl was dancing next to a life size statue of Jesus?
Mistakes happen and a simple apology from Akon would suffice…but don’t let ignorance be a justification of disrespecting an entire country’s religion. By the way…you wouldn’t believe how often I get emails like this from celebrity PR folks trying to spin the story.

Gotta love Luda and you gotta love the chicks in this video…hip-hop will always need real female MC’s.
Would you pay to see Young Money without Lil Wayne…probably not! Thank God for YouTube…try to enjoy!
The Game pays big to settles court case
If a multi-million dollar rapper punched you in the face and threatened to kill you over a pick-up basketball game…how much would you sue for?

Snoop Dogg…a real super-hero
Some people think Snoop has fallen off since his original doggy-style days but it hasn’t stopped his financial success.
Snoop made $16M in 2008 and is said to have made even more in 2009. Obviously the success doesn’t come only from selling records…but he’s definitely doing something right.
It’s always nice to get insight into the mind of one of hiphop’s most successful artists in history…check out the camel’s Jay-Z documentary!
Love and pain usually go hand in hand…but did Reggie Bush have to dumper her by text message?
